PCNJ operates New Jersey’s only open, fully equipped printmaking studios for etching, lithography, relief, screen-printing, letterpress, papermaking and book arts. The studios are open daily for individual and small group rental. Register for time in the studio today!

Studio Rental

PCNJ’s studios are available for individual and small group rental. Monthly rates can also be arranged. Technical assistance is available by appointment. Studio users must be familiar with equipment, printing processes, and health and safety procedures. Please review: Studio Safety Rules & Policy. Mandatory orientation training is available monthly. Studio Use Prices

Keyholder Access – $650, annually
New for 2012: Keyholder access to the studio and equipment (24/6, excludes Sunday), opportunities to buy supplies at discounted rates in conjunction with studio purchases, opportunities to propose exhibitions in the Library Gallery, discounts on contract and collaborative editioning. Unlimited paid technical assistance, scheduled in advance. PCNJ offers flexible payment schedules.

Monthly Access – $250, monthly
Unlimited access during business hours to the studio and equipment; exclusive use of equipment, when possible. Unlimited paid technical assistance, scheduled in advance.

Weekly Access – $175, weekly
Unlimited access during business hours to the studio and equipment; exclusive use of equipment, when possible. Unlimited paid technical assistance, scheduled in advance.

Hourly/Daily Access – $15/hr, max $65/day
Unlimited access during business hours to the studio and equipment; shared use of equipment. Unlimited paid technical assistance, scheduled in advance.

Supplies & Materials Fees

Basic Ink Sets – $5 per day (red, yellow, blue, black Akua Inks), Screen Inks, Etching Black and Litho Black Inks (including modifiers)
Full Set of Akua Inks – $10 per day (use of 18 colors)
Thermofax Screens – $3 for 8″x10″, $5 for 8″x20″
Exposure Unit Fee – $2 (for exposing images only)
Emulsion – $2 to $5 per screen (depending on size)
Paper Beating – $20 per day
Paper  – Prices Vary and are listed in the Paper Drawer
Screen Rental/Sign-out Fee $5 (return clean undamaged screen for full refund)
Damaged Screen Fee – $15
