The Printmaking Center was delighted to accept Carlos Frias, an extraordinarily talented painter and mixed media artist, as our 2011 Artist-in-Residence. Carlos began his residency in June. To create work on paper that further explored the theme of genesis was Carlos' primary goal for the residency. He began by creating collagraph plates and using both intaglio and relief printing techniques to create highly successful, multi-dimensional work.
Prints from Carlos' residency will be on display in PCNJ's library gallery from January 7 to March 31, 2012.
