Professional Development for Teachers
The Printmaking Center of New Jersey is certified as a New Jersey Department of Education Professional Development Provider. This designation establishes that the Printmaking Center meets all requirements for providing New Jersey educators with mandatory professional development courses. These courses are widely attended and lauded by New Jersey art teachers. By providing educators with innovative classes in printmaking, papermaking and book arts we enhance fine art school curriculum throughout the state.

Silkscreen Basics with Sheila Goloborotko
Monday, July 28 AND Tuesday, July 29. 10am-4pm
Fees: M – $215, NM – $230, Materials Fee: $35
In this abbreviated workshop students will learn the basic steps of silkscreen to create a small edition of prints using water-based inks and various printing techniques. Students will start from original drawings or photographs to create their work; learn how to produce a transparency; prepare the screen with photo emulsion; expose image; and print a small silkscreen edition (10 prints) with 2 or 3 colors. All levels welcome.
