The Boston Printmakers 2009 North American Print Biennial

808 Gallery, Boston University, Boston, MA

Juror:  Roberta Waddell, Curator of Prints at the New York

Public Library from 1985 to 2008.

All artists in North America are eligible to enter. Original works in all printmaking media including monoprints and monotypes, books and mixed

media, digital and three-dimensional prints are eligible. We will not consider photographs, offset reproductions, or reproductions of artwork originally

produced in another medium. Submitted work may not have been exhibited in any other Boston Printmakers exhibition.

 

PAPERWORK--Call for Entries

Seton Hall University’s Walsh Gallery is currently soliciting submissions for a group thematic exhibition, PAPERWORK, to be shown November 10th through December 12th, 2008.  PAPERWORK is open to all artists who use paper in their work; preference will be given to those artists who experiment with the medium, so as to introduce visitors to fresh adaptations of a traditional material. The curators are especially interested in artbooks, photography, mail art, stamp art, design, fashion, origami, sculpture, installation, collage and cut-outs. Print Exchange!

Artists at the Printmaking Council of NJ are welcome to participate! The exchange is open to printmakers and stencil/graffiti artists internationally. Send in 13 identical (hand-made, not computer generated) prints, each 8”x8” by Sept 25th. Receive 12 prints from various artists encased in a hand-made portfolio back thru the mail! Other hours are available by appointment

Exhibitions in all galleries are free and open to the public for enjoyment. Themed and juried exhibitions display work from across the land. Solo shows highlight outstanding artists. Exhibits change about every three months.

The Printmaking Council of New Jersey is committed to providing equal access for all visitors and participants. Unfortunately, some programs occur on our third floor and can only be accessed by stairs. Special accommodations can be made to overcome this barrier. Please call two weeks prior to your visit if you require special arrangements.

CD's of our current show are available by mail for a $5 handling fee. Please return the CD in the postage paid envelope provided. Call the number below to make a request.
